- TEEN SPIRIT is an initiative by members of the Kerry & Cloyne Dioceses who work with teen or youth choirs in their parishes and schools.
- The original April ’09 concert brought together over 120 teenage singers, musicians and dancers and due to its phenomenal success, TEEN SPIRIT II dazzled the audiences again in April '10
- In April 2011, TEEN SPIRIT III saw a choir of 200 teens from Kerry, Cork and for the first time ever, Limerick performing to almost 3000 in two shows in the INEC and an unforgettable debut in the Cork Opera House to just under 1000! One of the most common comments after TEEN SPIRIT I was that people never expected such an incredibly high standard of performance from the teenage soloists and choir, and this standard has increased from performance to performance.
TEEN SPIRIT blends a mix of popular chart music, together with well known classics and also the most contemporary Christian music.
TEEN SPIRIT also explores our relationship with God in an inspiring, uplifting, challenging, and a very new and refreshing way of presenting the beauty and power of the Christian faith.
TEEN SPIRIT addresses issues such as the teen’s basic desire to believe; God’s forgiveness being a springboard to a new beginning; self-esteem based on God’s love; finding the strength within and in God to overcome adversity, and being inspired to go and make a difference in the world.
